HLP is designed to involve the whole family in healthy living activities. With a variety of indoor and outdoor options, kids and young adults can participate in fun and engaging activities that promote physical activity and well-being. We are grateful to the Massad Family YMCA for partnering with us and providing free memberships and access to their facilities and programs for our families. Additionally, through our partnership with The Table at St. George's, we are able to offer fresh produce to our families, in addition to our Tide Me Over bags that provide a shelf-stable meal for a family of four.
The "Wellness on Wheels" program, in partnership with the Stafford County Fire & Rescue Office of Emergency Management, offers basic health measurements and checks, along with important health information, to those who need it most. We are also excited to announce that the program will soon be expanding to include more services.
Thanks to the Greater Falls Run Lions Club, our neighborhoods can receive free hearing and sight checks. With support from the Kiwanis of Fredericksburg, we have brought back the Stafford Junction Walking Club, where participants can enjoy a light breakfast, receive a water bottle and towel, go for a walk, and engage in light exercise.
Thanks to Art Cart Kids we are able to bring in a fun and artistic experience to our participants and give them a chance to express their creative side. We are also lucky to partner with Downtown Greens and their Youth Farm Program to give our participants a chance to learn about sustainable living by growing their own food.
This program is inclusive and brings partners and participants together as a community to learn about and enjoy the benefits of healthy living.
