There are many ways to support Stafford Junction’s programs.
We need volunteers to give their time, monetary donations to help fund our programs, and donations of items like school supplies and food. Please use the tabs below to see where you may be able to get involved.
Your support is vital to help us achieve our mission. We look forward to working with you as we strive to make a difference in Stafford County.

Volunteer Opportunities

In order to put the kids first, we require that ALL volunteers over the age of 18 to have a background check. Once we receive your volunteer application we will send you the link needed to get the background check done.

Brain Builders Tutor
Brain Builders is the backbone of our programs and has grown to 145 students within 8 programs at 8 schools. We serve 6 elementary schools, 1 middle school & 1 high school.

Monday/Wednesday afternoons at Kate Waller Barrett Elementary, Hampton Oaks Elementary and Ferry Farm Elementary and Falmouth Elementary

Tuesday/Thursday afternoons at Rocky Run Elementary, Hartwood Elementary, Drew Middle School and Stafford High evening program.

NEW Wednesday Reading program at Rocky Run Elementary

Our tutors assist students with homework, learning English, reading & math. They also encourage responsible behavior, respect for others, and positive attitudes.

Goal: To assist each student with homework and encourage them to be reading up to grade level.

Requirements: A heart for helping children and being at least 14 years old.

Brain Builders runs during the school year (Starting October 1, 2018 to April/May 2019) from 3:30-5:00pm.
Drew Middle T & TH 3:00 to 4:45
Stafford High Tues Evenings at Stafford Junction 6:30 to 8:00pm

** Volunteer Orientation and training will be offered: Mon 9/24 – Tues 9/25 or Thurs 9/27 * Only need to attend 1 session. 3:30 to 5:00 at Stafford Junction – 791 Truslow Rd – Fredbg 22406

Adopt A School / After School Meals
We need to provide over 1,050 meals per month… We can’t do it alone… Interested in adopting a school to provide a healthy after school meal and take home snack? It can be 1 day a month, 1 day a week… Every little bit helps: Contact us ( to see which school and which days are needed.
